What if I can't go to my program?
If you have been selected to attend a Corrective Services New South Wales program, you must make every effort to attend every session.
All programs have been developed to provide you with the right information in the right order to be most useful to you. Missing a session means missing content that benefits you. If you miss sessions, you may be withdrawn from the program.
Being withdrawn from the program may result in the court or parole authority being informed. You may be asked to explain why you could not attend. Or you may be required to start the program again.
If you can’t attend because you or a family member is sick, you’ll need to get a Doctor’s certificate.
The most important thing is to plan your program attendance in advance. Work out how you will get there, and get home. Talk with your boss, family members or partner to make sure you can get to every session.
Or contact your community corrections officer- they will help you.
